BUILD BUILD BUILD NI PANGULONG DUTERTE, P1.6 BILLION BYPASS ROAD SA URDANERA CITY PANGASINAN PWEDE NANG MADAANAN.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to build a new bypass road for Urdaneta City, Pangasinan in 2019. Apart from providing a faster, more seamless way of travel for tourists and locals, the upcoming road project is also seen to reduce traffic in the city as well as connect Urdaneta to other major roadways and neighboring barangays.

“More than the faster transport of goods and services from Urdaneta City proper to barangays, the bypass road would also attract various business establishments that would generate more livelihood opportunities and help increase economic growth in the province,” said Ronnel M. Tan, DPWH Region 1 Director.
The new bypass road will be divided into six phases and will cover the construction of a four-lane road measuring a total of 7.2 km. Also to be built are four bridges; namely: Macalong (36.3 meters), Mitura 1 and 2 (102.4 meters) and Camantiles (60.9 meters). Apart from these, the road project also involves the building of the following: reinforced concrete box culvert, drainage and slope protection, and the installation of right of way monuments, metal guardrails and reflectorized thermoplastic road markings. The total budget for the bypass road amounts to Php 1.6 billion.
