Domagoso has proposed to build vertical mass housing complexes in the nation’s capital as part of his 10-year infrastructure plan for traffic, tourism, jobs, and healthcare.
These housing projects, Domagoso said, would cater to a growing population of Manileños to maximize land use and reduce traffic in the already congested city.
As a former informal settler or “squatter” during his childhood years in Manila, he said that he knew very well the hardships of homeless Manileños.
“Sa pamamagitan ng vertical housing, hindi na mapapalayo pa ang ating mga Manileños sa kanilang mga lugar ng pag-aaral, trabaho pati na rin ang hanapbuhay (By vertical housing, Manilenos will not be far away from their school and work)” Domagoso said.
