President Rodrigo Duterte chastises Senator Richard “Dick” Gordon for criticizing the appointment of retired military officials in his Cabinet.
“It’s very dangerous daw kasi I will militarized my administration. And there’s the danger of the military would have its influence on the president who is supposed to be a civilian because the nature of the office is civilian in character, though I am the Commander-in-Chief,” said Duterte in his speech at the 28th Anniversary celebration of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Pasay City Thursday evening.
“I think ‘yung sabi niya na probinsyano ako. Sabagay, totoo ‘yan. Pero at least, probinsyano ako, my brain stays in my head. ‘Yung utak mo Dick, nagtutunaw napupunta diyan sa tiyan mo. You are a fart away from disaster. Intindihin mo muna ‘yung tiyan mo bago ka makialam sa trabaho ko. Eh tumakbo ka ng vice president, hindi ka naman manalo. Hanggang senador ka lang,” he added.
