Sinibak sa puwesto ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pinuno ng Food and Drug Administration na si Director General Nela Charade Puno dahil umano sa katiwalian. Ayon kay Panelo "This is in line with the President’s continuing mandate to eradicate graft and corruption, and to ensure that public officials and employees conduct themselves in a manner worthy of public trust,” saad sa sulat na may petsang May 15.
Inatasan ng Palasyo si Puno na bakantehin kaagad ang kaniyang posisyon at ipagkatiwala ang lahat ng mga kaukulang dokumento at iba pa sa Office of the Undersecretary for Health Regulation ng Department of Health.
